AIM Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation committed to empowering Australian youth by providing them with opportunities for personal growth, physical activity, and mental health education. We believe that when young people are engaged, supported, and valued, they are more likely to thrive, both now and in the future.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to help young people realise their potential by promoting positive engagement through tailored programs that combine physical activities and mental health education. Our goal is to provide youth with the tools, skills, and support they need to build resilience, social skills, and a sense of self-worth.
We work with youth from all backgrounds, particularly those at risk of disengagement, by creating safe spaces where they can learn, grow, and connect with others. By fostering these connections and promoting mental and physical wellbeing, we aim to reduce the risk of poor mental health outcomes and social isolation.
Why We Started the AIM Foundation
According to the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth (ARACY), when young people feel connected and valued, they have better health and mental health as adults. Unfortunately, many young Australians face challenges such as mental health issues, social isolation, and disengagement from education. These challenges can have long-term effects on their futures.
AIM Foundation was founded to bridge this gap by providing youth-focused programs that not only address these issues but also empower young people to take control of their futures. By focusing on both physical and mental wellbeing, we offer a holistic approach to youth development that has a lasting impact.
Our Services
Our core offerings include:
Programs: We offer structured programs like The Great Project and the Thrive Program, which focus on physical activity, teamwork, and personal development. These programs help youth build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.
Training: AIM Foundation provides Mental Health First Aid training to equip individuals with the skills to recognise and respond to mental health challenges. This training is ideal for schools, workplaces, and community groups wanting to support youth mental health.
Mentorship: Our one-on-one mentoring program offers personalised support to young people, helping them navigate life’s challenges. Mentors provide guidance in goal-setting, emotional wellbeing, and skill development, with NDIS funding available for eligible participants.
Charity Events: Our charity events, including our Annual Charity Golf Day, are a vital part of how we raise funds to support our programs. These events also serve as a way for the community to come together in support of our mission.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be the leading non-government provider of youth health and wellbeing programs in Australia. We are dedicated to expanding our reach and continuing to offer innovative programs that meet the evolving needs of young people.
By partnering with schools, community organisations, and businesses, we aim to create a network of support for youth across the country, ensuring that every young person has the opportunity to thrive.
